| Personal History | Early Childhood: Fiona was born on February 02, 2371 right before the start of the Dominion War. When the war started she was sent to live with her grandparents. She and her siblings were scared for their parents' safety. Fiona hated not knowing and always being scared. She would hear reports about entire fleets being wiped out, and always fearing the next report would bring her devastating news. Luckily for her, that day never came. Her family remained in Ireland, as they continued to serve Starfleet till 2385, when her family suddenly left. Fiona was 8 when her parents left. She never understood why her parents were upset that Starfleet was pulling back on its exploration program. Fiona, as an eight year old girl, was relieved. She blamed the Federation for putting her parents in danger. She assumed that Starfleet's exploration was poking scary monsters like the Dominion. She feared more wars. Fiona was the middle child of five children. She always felt like she was fighting for attention. She tried to bring order to the chaos of her family. Her siblings used to drive her insane. However, she was one of the first ones to defend her siblings. She did not hate them, she only wanted to stand out. Despite having an idiosyncratic personality, her siblings would bring out her rowdy side, She got into a lot of trouble, then she focused really hard on fixing her mess-ups and her siblings mess-ups too. She tried to cope with her shortcomings by having a few drinks. Being a typical Irish teenager, she learned alcohol was another way she lost control and become rowdy. It was counter-productive. Middle School years: Fiona hated puberty, and the idiocracy that came with it. She ran for student body leadership starting in middle school. Daniel and Emma were a big part of her upbringing during this time. She hated how much influence her family had over her during her academic years. Fiona was starting to be pulled back in by Starfleet's order. They had refocused their purpose and it looked very promising. The field of security really appealed too. David, her brother, wanted to be a pilot and her sister, Emma, wanted to be a doctor. Fiona focused most of her studies to prepare her for Starfleet exams; she had to get in. Unknown to her at the time, with her parents being legacy offers in Starfleet she was practically a shoe-in. David and Emma tried to convince her to settle down, but Fiona wanted to get into Starfleet. The way she saw it, it was a ticket to get away from the chaos. She wanted the structure she heard so much about. High School years: Fiona was still susceptible to typical teenager antics, despite how much she hated it. She started to like boys, and they were always chaotic, and a distraction to her goals. Luckily, her family would keep the highschool boys in line. She had a few relationships that went nowhere. She found the only thing they had was a physical attraction. After David and Emma graduated from high school in 2386, she became the role model of Orla and Liam, her younger siblings, who hated how she use to baby them. Fiona use to think Liam was to much like David and Orla was to much like Emma. Fiona felt like she was failing them, but they were teenagers; they would not listen. Fiona gave up on trying to control them, and refocused her efforts on getting into Starfleet. She did not allow boys to distract her from her primary goals. She still had relationships, but those relationships did not last long. |

| Service Record | Academy Fiona I thought that getting to Starfleet academy, would solve all her problems, and her doubts. On day one she realized everyone was rowdy an anxious as as high school students. Fiona was shocked to see how chaotic the academy was. She wondered where was the Starfleet she heard about? This could not be it. When classes started up, she saw the Starfleet, she was promised. Classes were structured, but her free time remained chaotic. Students wanted to hook up and party. Fiona had to learn a good balance and she got advice from David and Emma. The four years at the academy was challenging to her, but she was able to get through the chaos. Fiona thought to herself, most of the students would outgrow their immaturity when they got to fleet. She kept telling herself life would improve when she got to her first assignment. USS Manaia, Ross Class Explorer Fiona was not impressed with her first assignment. She felt that Starfleet sent her to joke of Starfleet. The USS Manaia, seemed like a cestpool of bad decisions and lack of moral conviction. She could not stand the lack of structure on the ship. She had no idea her next assignment would make this seem like paradise and a dream assignment. On the Manaia, she failed to fit in. She tried to organize the security team, she constantly fought with the Chief of Security and the First Officer. Both men were incompetent she thought. They were preaching nonsense about learning to choose you're fights and being flexible. She pointed out them that security needed structure. To the Chief of Security's credit, he did try to work with their own next couple of years but then realize she wasn't going to change and maybe another commanding officer would be able to reach her and help her grow. Fiona was pissed when she learned she was being transferred. She had not requested treatment, keep it like the ship was out together because they were a bunch of incompetent fools. |
