Nevin has the same general facial structure as Jadizon, particularly around the eyes and jaw.

Even in his late sixties, there is little softness to his appearance. He keeps himself in excellent condition and maintains the rigid posture of someone who has spent more than forty years in Starfleet.

Like most Betazoids, his eyes are almost entirely black.

Unlike his son, however, Nevin rarely allows what he is feeling to reach his face.

That is particularly impressive for a Betazoid.

Personality & Traits

General Overview Nevin Enor is disciplined, intelligent, calculating, and extremely controlled.

He has spent decades learning how to operate inside Starfleet Command without becoming consumed by its politics.

Nevin understands regulations, personnel systems, command structures, and bureaucracy almost frighteningly well.

He rarely raises his voice.

When Nevin becomes angry, he usually gets quieter.

He believes that officers should remain composed, leaders should know their people, and anyone wearing a Starfleet uniform should understand that responsibility comes before ego.

At home, unfortunately, he often applied those same standards to his children.

That created particular problems with Jadizon.

Nevin isn’t cold.

He’s simply a man who has spent so long controlling what he feels that sometimes even his own family cannot tell the difference.

For a Betazoid, that takes considerable discipline.
Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths

Nevin is an exceptional administrator and strategic thinker who understands how the enormous machinery of Starfleet actually functions.

He remembers names.

Not just captains and admirals.

Chiefs. Technicians. Yeomen. Specialists.

That trait has earned him considerable respect among enlisted personnel.

He remains calm during emergencies and rarely makes decisions emotionally.

His Betazoid abilities also make him particularly skilled at reading a room, although he deliberately avoids openly using telepathy during professional discussions unless necessary.

Weaknesses

Nevin struggles when problems cannot be solved through procedure, planning, or authority.

His children have learned that when he becomes frightened, he often becomes more controlling.

He has difficulty apologizing.

He sometimes gives advice when someone simply needs him to listen.

His relationship with Jadizon suffers because Nevin spent years believing that he knew what kind of career his son should have.
Ambitions through Starfleet’s admiralty. His primary ambition is to leave Starfleet’s personnel system stronger than he found it, particularly in how it develops, retains, and supports experienced enlisted personnel and junior officers.

Personally, Nevin hopes to repair some of the distance between himself and his children, especially Jadizon. He would never openly call that an ambition, but at this stage of his life, family has become more important to him than another promotion.
Hobbies & Interests Nevin enjoys activities that give him structure without feeling like work. He is fond of strategy games, especially three-dimensional chess and traditional Betazoid logic games, and he has a quiet competitive streak that comes out more around family than colleagues.

He also enjoys sailing and small-craft piloting, preferring older vessels that require more hands-on attention than modern automated systems. When he is on Betazed, he spends time near the water whenever possible.

Nevin is an avid reader of Starfleet history, command memoirs, and Federation political history, though he claims it is purely recreational.

He also has an interest in cooking, particularly traditional Betazoid dishes, but he is far less talented at it than Katrina. Jadizon has made sure this fact is well documented within the family.

When he has the rare opportunity to completely disconnect from Starfleet, Nevin prefers quiet evenings, good food, old music, and family gatherings where nobody discusses personnel readiness, fleet deployments, or promotions.

Personal History Nevin Enor was born and raised on Betazed in a family that placed a strong value on public service, education, and personal discipline. From an early age, he showed a talent for organization and leadership, though he was never especially interested in being the loudest person in the room. He preferred understanding how systems worked and how people fit within them.

He entered Starfleet Academy as a young man and built his career through personnel, operations, and command assignments. Nevin spent several years aboard starships before moving into increasingly senior administrative roles, where his ability to balance manpower, readiness, and operational requirements quickly became one of his greatest strengths.

Nevin eventually married Dr. Katrina Enor, and together they raised four children. For much of their early family life, the Enors lived near Lake El-Nar on Betazed, close enough to a busy Starfleet supply port that Jadizon and his siblings grew up watching ships and personnel move constantly through the region.

When Jadizon was around twelve, Nevin accepted a department-head assignment at Starfleet Headquarters in San Francisco, relocating much of the family to Earth. By then, Nevin had already begun imagining a Starfleet officer’s career for his eldest son.

That expectation became one of the largest sources of conflict between them.

Jadizon initially began preparing for Starfleet Academy, but at seventeen he chose not to apply. Instead, he enlisted and entered Starfleet’s technical training pipeline.

Nevin took the decision badly.

He believed Jadizon had the intelligence and ability to become an officer and saw enlistment as his son deliberately turning away from opportunity. Jadizon saw it differently. For him, enlisting was the first major choice in his life that belonged entirely to him.

Their relationship remained strained for years.

Ironically, Nevin’s own career eventually shifted toward personnel readiness and workforce planning, placing him in direct contact with senior enlisted leaders across Starfleet. Over time, that experience forced him to reconsider many of the assumptions he had made about Jadizon’s decision.

By the time Jadizon became a senior enlisted leader, Nevin had come to respect the path his son had chosen, even if he rarely said so directly.

Nevin later held the rank of Commodore before being promoted to Rear Admiral and assigned as Deputy Director of Starfleet Personnel Readiness at Starfleet Command.
